The collection of works below presents my range of project types and written materials. Click on the images to access the pdf files.

NOTE: The following information is not intended to be factual but is part of a class writing assignment in July 2022 at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University. All information is intended to be sourced appropriately.

Press Release

PRL 604

This example press release is of a made-up event to celebrate Pinterest's upcoming anniversary. Since the company has made mental health awareness a philanthropic point, the event furthers the mission through an unexpected idea for a social media platform.

Newsjacking

PRL 604

The American Girl Doll meme is a trending summer 2023 meme. The meme format makes weirdly specific jokes through the prompt: "We need an American Girl Doll who..."

In this example, the meme demonstrates that the event will be iconic enough to need an American Girl Doll to commemorate it.

Email Pitch

PRL 604

The email pitch exemplifies how I have learned to reach out to a reporter. The key is to research reporters who have a writing niche that could fit the pitch and report for recognizable news outlets. An excel sheet on other potential contacts are included.

Media Alert & Media Briefing

PRL 604

For a group project, we put together a media alert to make the press aware of a media briefing in regards to a controversial issue: showing proof of vaccination to enter an establishment. This was all a hypothetical practice for the PRL 604 Practice course.

Rapid Fire Presentation

PR Current Event in Spring 2023

For my rapid-fire presentation, I talk about #deinfluencing, which is a TikTok trend that countered #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt. I discuss why PR practitioners need to reevaluate their influencer marketing strategies. I also make connections to PR management and leadership principles.
