BTS Mistranslated Hiatus Announcement Case Study

PR Theory - an application to crisis

Within three weeks I gathered research on how the globally renowned k-pop band's mistranslated and widely misunderstood hiatus announcement negatively impacted their record company - Hybe. This study examines possible solutions and further implications within entertainment PR.

Independent Study

The 2022 Feel the Rhythm of Korea campaign partnered with BTS members Jimin and SUGA to promote South Korean tourism.

The requirements for this research paper was to attend a non-communications event and connect the concepts to communications.

 

I went to a guest speaker event. Jacob Tobia, activist, screenwriter and actor shared anecdotes from their memoir Sissy: A Coming-of-Gender Story.
